Pune & Us

The Punekar is a site dedicated to the wonderful city of Pune. From schools to colleges, technology parks to pensioner gardens, the young and the vibrant to the old and the wise… the city has it all. Fondly referred to as “Oxford of the East” or “Pensioner’s Paradise”, Pune has grown from a sleepy city 15 years ago to a bustling metropolis that offers a variety of things to do, see, feel and fall in love with!

So join us as we embark on a journey to discover all that makes this city tick. From the food to the people, their festivals, their celebrations and events of their life as it unfolds.

The Punekar is run by a group of enthusiasts who love the city and have returned home after spending long years away from home in pursuits of professional betterment. But one thing that they always knew was home is Pune.

We welcome all contributions to the Punekar. Feel free to contact us and find out more.

The Contact Us and Correct Us links are broken for quite sometime.
Any user trying to give any sort of feedback is unable to do so.
Also the new layout is fine but it doesn't work with IE6. I mostly use IE6 and the still IE6 is being used by millions.
Would be good if you can keep the layout compatible with atleast the most used browsers.

  2. I would like to post a small write-up / invitation to the Vishwa Jyotirukthyam Mahasomayag which will be held in Pune from 6th march to 11th march. Few NGO's are also arranging medical and eye camps during the event.

Can you suggest how I can send it to you?
