Annual Flower Exhibition
The annual flower exhibition, and flower arrangement competition is organized by the Agro Horticulture Society of Western India. The theme of the exhibition this year is floriculture. Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar will inaugurate the events.

Chess Tournament
The Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Maha-nagar Chess Association and the Rotary Club of Chinchwad have organized a chess competition. A total of 24 trophies and 36 medals would be awarded to the players in various age groups. Players from Pune district are eligible for the tournament for which the entry fee is Rs. 100 and the last date for registration is January 22.

Silent Poetry – Painting Exhibition
The series of Sneha Rathi’s creation on canvas with oil and acrylic colours will be on display and is titled as “Silent Poetry”. A total of 34 paintings will be exhibited.

Photography Exhibition
Photographer Sagar Shinde is displaying his photographs. The exhibition features pictures taken in Baramati, Srirampur, Pune, Rajgurunagar amongst other places in the state.

International Conference on Instrumentation
Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women is organizing the international conference on instrumentation. The topic of the conference is ‘automation for the future’. The aim of the conference is to bring constructive suggestions and understanding among researchers, engineers and users. The conference is expected to attract over 400 researchers, scientists from various research organizations like DRDO, CSIR experts from industries, users, faculty and students.

Music Festival
Society for promotion of Indian classical music and culture amongst youth (Spicmacay) in association with Indian Council of Cultural studies (ICCR) is organizing a two-week festival of performances and interactive workshops by eminent artists such as- Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan, Birju Maharaj, Panditt Hariprasad Chaurasia and so on. The festival will include 40 concerts with 25 artistes performing at various colleges and schools throughout the city.
