LSI expands R&D facility in Pune
Indiamart: LSI Corp., a provider of silicon, software and system solutions for storage and networking, has expanded its R&D facility in Pune, India by more than twice its previous capacity.
Tthe expanded centre will enable the company to significantly increase its workforce in Pune over the next 24 months. The additional engineering capacity will broaden the scope of development in the areas of network security, enterprise networking and data storage.
“India is a major component of our long-term strategic plan,” said Abhi Talwalkar, LSI president and CEO. “The world-class R&D capabilities we are deploying in India will allow us to deliver even more innovative, industry-leading products and services to meet our customers’ and partners’ most pressing needs.”
LSI currently employs 860 people in India, with major R&D centres in Bangalore and Pune, which represent the company’s largest regional presence outside of the United States. The increased level of investment in India will enable the development of new technologies and solutions for global customers and higher levels of engagement with local customers and partners.
