FTII student wins Whistling Woods award at PIFF
Indian Express: Ghadyalancha Dawakhana (The Watch Clinic), directed by Vikrant Pawar, a third year direction student of the Film and Television Institute of India, has bagged the Best Film award of the Whistling Woods International Students Film Competition Live Action (Short Film) at the Pune International Film Festival.
Ghadyalancha Dawakhana shows the life of a young boy on the brink of manhood. It depicts the value systems of two different generations, his father’s and his own, and how the evolution of the boy begins as he spends time at his father’s workspace. The film begins with the boy trying to cheat his father of some money and ends with him not taking the money at all but instead leave him in deep contemplation. The cast included Aalok Rajwade, Suyash Tilak, Dilip Jogalekar and Hemu Adhikari.
The award comprises of $1000 cash prize.
