Pune International Film Festival
PIFF attracts dignitaries from the national and international film fraternity. Attracting worldwide attention, films under the categories Country Focus, World Cinema, Retrospectives, Indian Panorama, Music ‘n’ sound, NFAI, Tributes and so on will be showcased. Delegates can register their films from December 25 to January 14. The fest will be presided over by Suresh Kalmadi, MP, and Jabbar Patel, director-PIFF and eminent filmmaker.

Sawai Gandharva Music Festival
The 57th Sawai Gandharva Music Festival has much more to offer to the music lovers this year besides regular concerts.
A photography exhibition as a tribute to Kirana Gharana vocalists, Gangubai Hangal and Pt Firoz Dastur, and a parallel session of music masters to help music enthusiasts develop an ear for the music will be the highlights of this year’s festival.
Another interesting event will be “Antarang” where music connoisseurs will conduct sessions for keen listeners of Indian classical music. A film festival will also be held at Sawai Gandharva Smarak that will show some where rare films on music maestros.

Creative Design Competition
An inter-NGO fashion and creative design competition is being organized by Innocent Heroes Foundation in collaboration with Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). The workshop named Unity — united in spirit, intent on one purpose, a rainbow of hope will be attended by eight NGO’s with 40 underprivileged children.

Glimpses of Watercolors – Painting Exhibition
Artist Sachin Naik’s paintings titled Glimpses of Watercolors will be on display and include some of his finest paintings like landscapes featuring villages, house beaches in Konkan, old houses in Pune and temples at Keshi and Humpi.

City of Joy – Painting Exhibition
Bringing the lanes and by-lanes of City of Joy, artist Dilip Chowdhary, takes one for a joyride of the culturally rich Kolkata through his paintings. The paintings include glimpses of old city with hand-pulled rickshaw and market areas being presented in myriads of shades.

Ecoscope – Wildlife Photography Exhibition
The city is hosting Ecoscope – a nature and wildlife photography exhibition organized by Foliage Outdoors. Entering its seventh year, the event is a platform for budding and amateur wildlife photographers who have managed to capture the fantastic natural beauty and diversity of our country. The exhibition would also host a contest for all the visitors – the “Evergreen Eco-caption Competition”. In this competition, participants are expected to create their own slogans based on the theme of nature.

Fair One Miss Pune 2010
