India International tourism exhibition will be held from December 4
Sakaal Times: India International Travel Mart (IITM), a travel and tourism exhibition will be held between December 4 and 6 in the city. More than 150 participants from over five countries are expected to showcase a variety of destinations. The event will be held at Krishna Heritage, opposite Siddhi Garden in Karvenagar.
The event will witness travel agents, tour operators, destination management companies, hotels and resorts, cruises, airlines and online travel portals as participants. International participants this year include Dubai Tourism and Lanka Sportreizen.
With organisations and tourism boards from over 15 Indian states taking part, the exhibition will also showcase a variety of destinations in different spheres such as pilgrimage, adventure, culture and heritage, beaches, hills and several others.
With this year’s edition of IITM, Sphere Travelmedia & Exhibitions completes 10 years of providing the travel industry and buyers from the travel, trade and corporate sector a business opportunity. Sphere Travelmedia director Rohit Hangal said, “The ongoing recession has resulted in a drop in international arrivals and IITM provides the right impetus to the domestic tourism industry. Participants from Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Puducherry, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand will be seen marketing their products”.
With Dubai as the partner country, the event has Uttarakhand and Gujarat Tourism as partner states.
