Around nine works of Kiana A Khani will be displayed at Malaka Spice from today. She studied art in Iran before coming to India in 2001 for further studies. The paintings on display are influenced by culture, religion and heritage.

Jazz Utsav
Adding flavour to the festive season, Jazz Utsav is a three-day fest which is fully dedicated to hardcore jazz music and truly dedicated to jazz enthusiast. The event will witness national and International bands performing for the jazz enthusiasts. While Wanny Angerer Quartet and Nils Olav Johansen Quartet will perform on November 20, Thaerchens Tentett and Rafal Gorzycki Trio will enthrall the audience on November 21. The third day is reserved for performance by Saskia Laroo and Gary Lawyer with Louiz Banks trio. The first day of the fest is coinciding with the Expat programme of MCCIA.

Survivors’ Meet
A get-together for all those who have lost someone to suicide will be held followed by, screening a 90-minute video programme.
Five survivors will share their experiences of life, how they dealt with them and finally managed to overcome them. This screening is a part of American Foundation of Suicide Prevention’ which has organised a worldwide conference at over 230 sites in 15 different countries on the occasion of World Suicide Survivors Day’.
