Now, get full scholarship for course and stay in France
Indian Express: Engineering students wanting to pursue a masters course in France will now get to avail full scholarship — for their course as well as stay.
The scholarship, sponsored by French company Michelin Tyres, would be given for six students from across the country, said a press note issued by n+I, a network of 70 French engineering institutes headquartered in Pune.
“The scholarship is applicable for the students who will take admission for MS in French institutes through n+I network,” said Revati Arole, coordinator of n+I.
The admission through n+I network is done in two sessions — in September and November. Students taking admission in these two sessions can go for higher studies in France for courses starting in July 2010. They will not have to clear GRE/TOEFL, Arole said.
“In the September session, two students from IIT-Rurki have already been selected for the Michelin Tyres’ scholarship and now four more can avail it in the ongoing session that will go on till March 7, 2010,” Arole said.
According to Arole, the students will be screened at the time of admission through n+I network. “Academic merit, relevance of statement of purpose and personal interview by representatives of n+I, French Embassy and Michelin Tyres are some of the criteria for scholarship. Students will not have to apply independently for the scholarship,” she said.
The scholarship is worth 17,500 Euros per year that includes air travel, tuition fees, living and insurance. “The only condition is that students have to take admission in either ISMA or ENSCCS institute based in the city Clermont-Ferrand where Michelin Tyres have its headquarter,” said Arole.
According to Arole, students who get the scholarship may also get a chance to work with the Michelin Tyres if they prove suitable for the job.
