Project Management Institute honors Girish Kelkar, PMI Pune-Deccan chapter president
Businesswireindia: Girish Kelkar, has been awarded the Project Management Institute (PMI®) Component Award for Component Leadership for his role as a leader in the PMI Pune-Deccan, India Chapter and furthering PMI’s envisioned goal that “worldwide, organizations will embrace, value and utilize project management and attribute their success to it.”
This award honors component officers who have effectively guided their component’s operation to significant advancements or achievements for PMI. The award is based on nominees’ significant achievements in their component growth, innovative programs and efforts.
Girish Kelkar is the embodiment of leadership. He established and integrated transparency in his chapter’s operation and developed and promoted visibility at the local and international levels. Under his supervision his chapter completed accounting formalities and audit of the financial transactions for past 3 years, established seminar partnerships with many institutes and organizations in the region, and built successful fundraising programs.
