Restaurant Review- Coffee House
Over the years, Pune has seen several restaurants coming up in different parts of the city but that hasn’t shrunk the customer base of some the old ones. Coffee house in Camp is one such restaurant that has been a crowd puller for decades now. Located diagonally opposite SGS mall, Coffee House is a perfect place to treat your taste buds.
Spread over two floors, the restaurant offers comfortable seating and a relaxed ambience to enjoy your favorite food items. The ground floor is dedicated to single seating or men while the AC hall on the second floor is reserved for families and more private get togethers.
Given its popularity and strategic location on the bustling Moledina Road, Coffee house is almost always packed to capacity. This also has a lot to do with its loyal customers who have been visiting the restaurant for years together as well as first timers who drop in to see what the hype is all about.
When it comes to food, the place serves a wide variety. This includes popular Continental, Punjabi and Chinese dishes among other. However, the restaurant is most famous for its South Indian delicacies prepared in authentic southern recipes. The things you absolutely have to try when at Coffee House include crispy dosas, steam idli and the uttapum which are all served with chutney and sambar. It also offers several types of sandwiches, juices, and hot beverages for snacks and breakfast. The filter coffee is another item on the menu which goes on the must try list.
If you are up for a wholesome meal, you can try chana bathura or other Punjabi vegetables along with a range of Indian breads. The Maharashtrian or Punjabi thalis are other good options that comprise of a soup, vegetables, rice, curds, a sweet dish and other delicacies served on that day. To complete your meal, we strongly recommend trying the desserts. The matka kulfi in particular, is really delicious. The quantity is low but you’ll have no complaints on the taste front.
The service out here is excellent and the staff is constantly on their toes to attend to your needs. It is also reasonably priced for its location and the quality of food it serves. The Coffee House is open from 8 in the morning to 11 in the night and offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. It is undoubtedly a place worth visiting.
