H1N1 claims 54-yr-old, death toll climbs to 92
Sakaal Times: The H1N1 flu on Tuesday claimed one more life at YCM Hospital in Pimpri, pushing the toll to 92. Vilas Siddhu Bengale (54), a resident of Sahakar Nagar was admitted to the hospital in the wee hours of Tuesday, a state health department communique said.
Meanwhile, a 3-year-old girl at a nursery school in Pimpri-Chinchwad tested positive for H1N1 and has been admitted to the quarantine ward of YCMH. She has been put on Tamiflu. Preventive measures are being carried out at the school, said officials of the health department. Currently, 21 patients are in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), out of which 6 are on ventilator.
