Chittaranjan Kolhatkar passes away
Sakaal Times: Veteran Marathi actor Chittaranjan Kolhatkar died following a cardiac arrest at a city hospital today. He was 87.
Kolhatkar is survived by his wife, son and three daughters.
The thespian had suffered the heart attack at his Sadashiv Peth residence on October 13 and was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, where he passed away at 1800 hrs.
Kolhatkar, who was born in Amravati district of Maharashtra on January 15, 1923, got noticed through his roles in the local plays.
After he came to Pune, Kolhatkar, who was lovingly called Bapu, continued to stage performances and ultimately got a break in the Marathi films.
The actor had done more than 100 films and plays. Prominent among his films are ”Mohiten chi Manjula”, ”Bhav Bandhan” and plays ”Ek Pyala” and ”Vidhya Haran.”

the name of the natak is ekach pyala and not ek pyala which starred chittaranjan kolhatkar
also chittaranjan kolhatkar did not suffer any heart attack on 13th oct…he accidently had a fall while taking a walk in the evening and suffered severe injuries
