History-sheeter nabbed
The Times of India: The Kothrud police on Wednesday recovered a country-made revolver and four cartridges, following the arrest of notorious criminal Dnyaneshwar Tonde of Mulshi.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team, under senior police inspector Chandrakant Ghodke, laid a trap and nabbed Tonde near Durga hotel at Dahanukar colony. They recovered the revolver and cartridges totalling Rs 5,200.
The Kothrud police have registered a complaint against Tonde under relevant sections of the Arms Act and Bombay Police Act.
Tonde is also involved in a murder case registered with the Paud police station in 2007.
Sub-inspector Udaysinh Patil is investigating the case.
