MindSpark – CoEP’s Tech-Fest
MindSpark, CoEP’s annual tech-fest, will begin its third edition next month, with several new events and the best engineering colleges vying for the championship.
The stage is set with over fifty cleverly designed events, spanning the entire spectrum of engineering disciplines. The usual events are back, this time with the added charm of a virtual Stock Exchange, a leap towards Open Source software culture, some hard revving Automobile mania workshops to cater to every techie’s needs. The evenings promise to melt away into sweet nirvana with shows featuring drama, music and stand ups. Finally the best colleges will battle it out for glory in the Holy Grail of Engineering – The Technical Championship.

Contemporary Graphics IV – Exhibition of Graphics

Waves art gallery enters its fourth phase of exhibiting graphic art by an assortment of contemporary Indian artists. The first three phases of this series featured a variety of Graphic Art such as Lithographs, Etchings and Serigraphs. However, ‘Contemporary Graphics IV’ opening on the 2nd October 2009, in particular features Serigraphs by Bengali artists.

ITF Tennis Futures Tournament
The $15000 Deccan Gymkhana-AITA Men’s ITF Tennis Futures Tournament that begins on October 3 will feature not only internationally ranked junior players from various nations around the world, but also World No. 1 Junior Men’s player Yuki Bhambri in action.
The tournament will be held at the Deccan Gymkhana courts from October 3 and will go on till October 10. The tournament will offer a total prize money of 15000$ or Rs. 7.5 lakh for the winners.

Painting Exhibition on Horses
Watch the horses come alive on canvas with veteran artist M Narayan’s creation of paintings and drawings on the modes and the structures of horses. Having painted horses for the last fifteen years his portraits have a strong sense of colour and composition.

Ishanya’s Kid’s Idol 09- Dance Your Way Through, an interschool and inter dance institute dance competition has been organised by Entrenous on October 11 at Ishanya Mall.
The winner will get a chance to be on air on a radio channel and also get a prominent role as a background dancer in one of the songs of the forthcoming movie of Om The Mantra Production. Winners will get prizes such as to-and-fro air tickets between Mumbai and Singapore.

Aperture India Presents – Geetanjali Express
Welcome to the world of Geetanjali Express – a concert of Indian Light Music, better known as Sugamsangeet in India, developed and promoted by Dr. Salil Latay – a Music Composer and Singer from Pune, India. It is a vocal presentation, i.e. it is a concert in singing of melody oriented songs. A mission to promote good melody oriented music for the real interested audiences and Rasikjans (Connoisseur of good music). Musically trained under the able guidance of his parents – Sau. Amaraja & Shri. Jagadishdatta Latay Dr. Salil received valuable training and guidance from Shri. Shripadbuwa Madiye & Shri. Ladoo Naik at Phonda Goa, Shri. Sudhakar Hande at Bhandara, Sau. Minaxi & Dr. Laxmikant Bapat at Vadodara. Presently he continues to be trained under the guidance of Pandit Rajendra Kandalgaonkar at Pune.
