Ayurved to fight swine flu
Indian Express: The Maharashtra Arogya Mandal’s Ayurveda– the Sane Guruji Arogya Kendra–run by Sumatibhai Shah Ayurved College at Hadapsar, has pitched in to the prevent outbreak of swine flu in the city.
According to Anil Gujar, secretary, MAM, ayurveda has got major role to increase immunity of the people against this H1N1 Virus. The gospital has started distribution of the decoction, “Gudoochyadi Kashaaya” in the premises free of cost to everyone. This decoction contains the immuno-modulators like Gudoochee (Tinospora cordifolia), dry Ginger, Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), Adulsa (Adathoda Vasica), Yashtimadhu (Glycerrhiza glabra), Haldi (Curcuma ryonelonga), Nagarmotha (Cyperus rotendus); along with Vekhanda (Acorus calamus), Lavanga (Syzizium aromaticum) and Dalchini (Cannamonum zylenicum). This decoction is effective against running nose, cough, fever, chills. Pharmacy incharge Dr Yogesh Bhatambre said this decoction can be used on preventive and curative basis. Gujar said that the distribution of the decoction has started from August 17 and will go till August 22. More than 15000 people have benefited from this activity so far, the press release claimed.
Other medicines like Vacha Taila for Nasya (Nasal Application), Sitopaladi Choorna, Gudoochee Ghana Vati and Dashanga Dhoopa are also made available at the pharmacy at low cost. Gujar has appealed people to to take recourse to use our ancient Indian system of medicine to increase immunity against swine flu.
Relique donates products to Naidu hospital
City-based Relique Technologies donated its product Sterlo-Maxx, air sterilizers, purifiers and ionisers to Naidu Hospital in one of the swine flu ward. “ We at the Relique Technologies appreciate the effort of all the Naidu hospital doctors and staff. Our endeavor is to provide clean and healthy air in day to day working environment. To express our gratitude and to support them in their efforts in controlling the spread of the swine flu, we have taken this step,” said a press release from the company.
Chetan Tapadia, CEO, Relique Technologies donated the sir steiliser in the presence of Dr Patsute, superintend of Naidu Hospital.
