Seafood Festival (July 28th Week 2009)

fishThe weekend is back and it has an interesting list of events  lined up for you. Rugby players can rejoice as there a Rugby coaching course is going to be conducted in the city starting this Friday. If you are a seafood lover then you can visit the seafood festival at Barbeque Nation and learn some of the basic recipes from the experts at the counters. Seafood Festival

Barbeque Nation is playing host to a 10-day-long seafood festival. At the festival, guests will be invited to make their own choice of pasta and seafood, with the help of chefs at live counters, for their families and friends. There would be a collage put up for guests to name their recipes and sign for the same on the collage. Guests can choose from four-five varieties of seafood, including crab sticks, prawns, king fish and mackerel. The pasta counter will be a fully-equipped station with accompaniments and sauces. Vodka Gorbatschow will also be offered on one-plus-one-free basis for all guests during the festival.

Train the Trainer – Rugby Coaching Courses

Eleven out of the 24 members of the Indian rugby squad will receive the tag of player/coach when they attend the three-day ‘Train the Trainer’ programme — the first ever International Rugby Board (IRB) level 1 men’s coaching course in the city.

The 11, in turn, can impart IRB level 1 coaching skills to the other Indian players and also the state coaches. This move is expected to result in faster penetration of rugby in the country.

Twelve players from other Asian nations will also take part in the event.
