Praj Foundation launches afforestation project
Indian Express: Praj Foundation, the CSR arm of Praj Industries, has designed and developed an afforestation project which was today inaugurated by mayor Rajlaxmi Bhosle.
Parimal Chaudhari, managing trustee of Praj Foundation, Pramod Chaudhari, chairman Praj, Shashank Inamdar, CEO and MD Praj, were also present.
The project includes tree plantation on BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) basis on 2 acres of land allotted by Pune Municipal Corporation.
The project is located near Pashan lake. Over 650 saplings will be planted here over a period of time. The program coincides with the silver jubilee celebrations of Praj Industries.
Parimal Chaudhari, managing trustee, Praj Foundation and director Praj Industries said, “This project will enrich the bio-diversity of the Pune city, while it will also beautify and help address the issue of world global warming.”

Is it possible to involve children from Akanksha, an NGO to participate in the afforestation initiative? I work with a group of 25 kids and we are learning about plants and conservation. I would want to take these kids for a plantation drive next week. Is it possible?
